Tribe (South Africa)
TRIBE © Steve Gordon 2001

TRIBE are a quartet of Cape Town based musicians - all established players and session men in their own right - who formed Tribe as an outlet for their own expression and improvisational music.

The group has earned critical acclaim since its formation, and maintained a strong presence with the local South African audience, and also with a number of European appearances. A major accomplishment has been their ability to relate to diverse audiences, notably that they have taken improvisational music into club venues, where they have commanded the ears of new, and younger listeners.
